I have categorized it as Beta 2 because unknown bugs are still to be flushed out and additional features to be added. In an attempt to create the largest online subtitle database - in the world - this spinoff from Divxstation is the first project equipped with Ajax capabilities. For the most part, Beta 2 uses this technology in the administrative area. However, for effective use of CAPTCHA, I have added XHTML hide and show functionality for subtitle download. This is done to prevent bots from stealing subtitles. Additionally, this release includes a complete index of subtitles by film. Google will be happy!

lunarbook

With the addition of dynamic text fields it was possible to create user initiated single letter animations. It had many complications associated - one being the trick to semi-automatically stripping each character of its spacing. As the engine for dynamic text positioning was ready it came to be known as the Lunartype. The second milestone was to create some interesting animations and extending the code with more capabilities. The final project was titled the Lunarbook with five different text movements.

In order to improve performance in buffering this version, 2002, of the 1999 release has been tweaked to work with a MS SQL database instead of its earlier connection to Microsoft Access.

At my stay in Staffordshire University, UK I found it very annoying not to have an analog clock on the wall and therefore decided to create one in Flash. I made it into a screensaver and thereby utilized the 24/7 online laptop power usage to something good. Many of my fellow students also installed this virtual clock.

A black and white version are now available. The former for those people spending most their time up when others sleep. The latter for the day people.

The analog clock screensaver is currently listed on Freesaver.com.
