Getting the most out of Google - 20 billion pages

What is the highest page result you can get out of Google? Can you beat 20,150,000,000 results!? I was under the impression that Google "only" had approximately 8 billion pages in their index? According to their webpage April 2005: "©2005 Google - Searching 8,058,044,651 web pages". Maybe they upgraded without telling anyone or is this another "bad data push"!?

You could add numbers to the search and get even more results (...OR"0*"OR"1*"OR...) :-)

Good idea Peter. Adding numbers do increase the total output. However, Google limits queries to 32 words so all letters and numbers cannot be included.

Interestingly, today the original query only returns approx. 11 billion pages compared to above 20 yesterday - I must be hitting another area of their datacenter.
